Paul McCartney - Egypt StationPaul McCartney will release his latest studio album, Egypt Station, via Capitol Records on September 7. The title comes from the name of one of Sir Paul’s paintings. It is his first collection of all-new music since 2013’s NEW. Two songs were released today, “I Don’t Know” and “Come On to Me.”

The 14-track Egypt Station was recorded between Los Angeles, London and Sussex, and produced (with the exception of one Ryan Tedder track) by Greg Kurstin (Adele, Beck, Foo Fighters).

In a statement, McCartney says, “I liked the words ‘Egypt Station.’ It reminded me of the ‘album’ albums we used to make.., Egypt Station starts off at the station on the first song and then each song is like a different station. So it gave us some idea to base all the songs around that. I think of it as a dream location that the music emanates from.”

McCartney began teasing a new record on social media recently and by making surprise appearances around Liverpool, culminating in an unannounced gig at the Philharmonic Pub in Liverpool earlier this month.
