Ozzy Osbourne has announced what he is calling his final world tour. While not retiring from music, it is expected to be Ozzy’s last full-blow major tour. Titled “No More Tours 2,” it is a reference to his 1992 “No More Tours” trek, which he promoted at the time as his retirement tour.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, he said, “I’m not retiring. It’s ‘No More Tours,’ so I’m just not doing world tours anymore. I’m still going to be doing gigs, but I’m not going on tour for six months at a time anymore. I’d like to spend some time at home.”
“I enjoy being a grandfather,” he added. “I don’t want to go through another generation of Osbournes without seeing them grow up.”
Stone Sour will open the North American leg of the tour, which begins in Allentown, PA on August 30. Ozzy will play a pair of music festivals this April in Florida, then tour Mexico, South America, the UK, Europe and Israel throughout the spring and summer, playing primarily festival gigs.
