Olivia Rodrigo has a new single, “Drop Dead,” set to drop on April 17th.
Rodrigo made the announcement on Instagram on Tuesday with a photo of her blowing a bubble with gum, with the name of the single on her shirt.
Rodrigo recently announced that her third album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, will be released on June 12th.
Not much more has been known about the upcoming album except this small preview in a British Vogue cover story
“It was a creative challenge to write from a joyful place,” Rodrigo said. “When you’re experiencing that you’re connected to someone, or feeling really good, you’re not in your head thinking about bittersweet poems!”
Rodrigo is said to have worked on the new music with producer Dan Nigro, who she also worked with on her first two albums, Sour and Guts”
Olivia Rodrigo has also been announced as the host and musical guest on SNL on May 2nd on NBC.
