Olivia Rodrigo‘s hit debut album Sour returns to #1 on the Billboard 200 chart, earning another 133,000 equivalent album units, according to MRC Data. Billboard notes this is in part due to the vinyl LP release of Sour, which sold 76,000 copies, marking the second-largest week for vinyl sales since tracking began in 1991. The only larger week was just a few months ago, with Taylor Swift‘s Evermore selling 102,000 copies. Both albums had weeks of pre-orders leading up to the actual LP release, as they were out in all other formats already.
At #2, Trippie Redd has the highest debut of the week with Trip at Knight, earning 81,000 equivalent album units. It is the rapper’s sixth top 10 album in a row.
Thanks to its deluxe reissue, Rod Wave‘s former #1 album SoulFly climbs to #3 after adding nine additional tracks. Planet Her from Doja Cat is at #4. The second-highest debut of the week comes from Lorde and her third album Solar Power at #5. Solar Power earned 56,000 equivalent album units.
At #6 with Billie Eilish with The Kid LAROI at #7. Korean boy band TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s The Chaos Chapter: Freeze climbs to #8 thanks to its own deluxe reissue, adding new tracks and new CD packaging. Morgan Wallen is at #9.
Wrapping up the top 10 is Aaliyah‘s 1996 album One in a Million, due to its reissue after years of being out of print.
