iHeartMedia has announced that Nate Bell has been named Program Director of urban WJLB and WMXD (Mix 92.3) in Detroit. Bell will be responsible for day-to-day programming oversight of 97.9 WJLB and Mix 92.3. He will report to Tony Travatto, Regional SVP/Programming for iHeartMedia Detroit.
“We are so excited to have Nate back in our Urban programming brain trust,” said Doc Wynter, Executive Vice President of Urban/Hip-Hop Programming Strategy for iHeartMedia’s National Programming Group. “He was missed, but it was destiny for him to come back to iHeartMedia. Things are about to heat up in Detroit!”

Bell most recently served as Operations Manager and Program Director for WGPR-FM, WDMK-FM and WPZR-FM in Detroit. He has also held programming roles in cities including New York, New Orleans, and Memphis as well as with iHeartMedia in Miami.
