Mumford & Sons have landed their third #1 album on the Billboard 200 as their latest release Delta debuts atop this week’s chart. It earned 230,000 equivalent album units, which was the biggest week for an alternative rock album in 2018, according to Nielsen‘s data. Of that figure, 214,000 were in traditional album sales. The band’s last two full-length releases, 2015’s Wilder Mind and 2012’s Babel, also debuted at #1.
At #2 is crooner Michael Bublé and his newest album Love. This gives the singer his eighth top ten release. At #3 is the compilation The Greatest Showman: Reimagined, which features cover songs from the hit soundtrack to The Greatest Showman recorded by Panic! at the Disco, P!nk and many others. Speaking of soundtracks, A Star is Born is at #4.
Pop legend Mariah Carey‘s newest album Caution comes in at #5, giving her the 18th top ten record of her career. Billboard notes that of Carey’s 21 releases, only three haven’t hit the top ten, and they were all best-of or remix compilations.
Another musical movie soundtrack, Queen‘s Bohemian Rhapsody, is at #6 on the chart, followed by Travis Scott at #7, then Drake (#8), Trippie Redd (#9) and Metro Boomin (#10).
