The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards took place Sunday night at New York’s UBS Arena and aired for the first time on CBS. The VMAs were hosted by LL Cool J. Big winners included Lady Gaga who won four awards after receiving 12 nominations. Sabrina Carpenter took home three awards. Ariana Grande won three awards, including Video of the Year Award. Other multiple winners included: Bruno Mars (2) one Lady Gaga and another with Rosé), Tate McRae (2) and Doechii (2).

Mariah Carey received the coveted Video Vanguard Award and performed a show-stopping, career-spanning medley of her biggest hits; Hip-Hop legend Busta Rhymes received the Rock The Bells Visionary Award; Ricky Martin will be honored with the Latin Icon Award.

The night also featured performances from Sabrina Carpenter, Conan Gray, Doja Cat, Jelly Roll, Post Malone and Tate McRae among others.

Ozzy Osbourne who passed away in July was honored with a star-studded tribute featuring Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, YUNGBLUD and Nuno Bettencourt.
