The nominees for the 2022 MTV VMAs have been announced with Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar and Lil Nas X earning the most nods, followed by Harry Styles and Doja Cat.
Harlow, Lamar and LNX each earned seven nominations, with Lil Nas X and Harlow nominated together for their hit “Industry Baby” in five different categories. Styles and Doja Cat (who hosted the 2021 VMAs) each earned six nods while Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd all have five.
Up for the top award of the night, the Video of the Year, are:
- Doja Cat – “Woman”
- Drake ft. Future and Young Thug – “Way 2 Sexy”
- Ed Sheeran – “Shivers”
- Harry Styles – “As It Was”
- Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow – “Industry Baby”
- Olivia Rodrigo – “Brutal”
- Taylor Swift – “All Too Well” (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version)
The show will take place on Sunday, August 28 at the Prudential Center in New Jersey, with performers TBA.
