Non-comm Triple A KCMP/Minneapolis (The Current) APD Lindsay Kimball has been promoted to Regional Director of Membership for parent company Minnesota Public Radio, a position she’s held on an interim basis while continuing to serve as The Current’s APD.
“I’m looking forward to starting a new chapter with the Membership team, and I hope to bring my skills, expertise, and creativity to help MPR thrive far into the future,” said Kimball. Kimball has been with MPR since 2005, when she began as an intern at The Current before rising to the position of Assistant Producer. She also served as Programming Coordinator before assuming the role of Assistant Program Director at The Current, while also being an on-air host at the station.
“Lindsay has an incredible ability to get things done, and her input into all facets of The Current will be missed,” said Jim McGuinn, PD, The Current. “Thankfully, she’ll be applying those skills in another area of our organization and will still be contributing to the success of The Current, through Membership. We are excited for her to take this next step, and we’re grateful for the 14 years we’ve had her as part of this team.”
The Current is determining next steps for filling the vacancy after Kimball’s transition, and will provide updates when available.
