The MIW Group is a volunteer organization helping women in the industry develop strong management and leadership skills and advocating the advancement of women to senior positions in radio broadcasting.

In 2016, Denyse Smith Mesnik, APR founded The Mesnik Group, a public relations and marketing company specializing in the radio broadcasting and music communities. Prior to that, she enjoyed a successful 25-year career with Beasley Media Group during which she was promoted from Founder and Chairman George G. Beasley’s executive assistant to ultimately vice president of corporate communications. Recognized on numerous occasions by Radio Ink magazine as one of the Most Influential Women in Radio, Denyse is a co-founder of the industry’s Radio Communicators Group, a member of the MIW Group Executive Committee and a member of the Florida Association of Broadcasters Board of Directors. Accredited in Public Relations (APR), she is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Sunshine District Board of Directors, founding member and current director of PRSA’s Southwest Florida Gulf Coast Chapter and volunteers on marketing committees for several non-profit organizations in her hometown of Naples, Florida.

“It has been an incredible privilege to serve as the MIW National Spokeswoman over the past 3 years,” says Kay Olin. “Denyse has been actively involved during that time, generously offering her support and extraordinary talents to help elevate the MIW mission and programs. She leads by her heart and by example; her passion for mentoring and dedication to helping women reach their professional goals makes Denyse the perfect choice to assume this important role.”

“Under Kay’s tremendous leadership, the MIWs have added numerous awards and activities, expanded our reach to include women in programming and finance, and increased opportunities for corporate sponsorship. All to say, Kay’s a tough act to follow,” says Denyse Mesnik. “Thankfully, the MIWs share a special bond and a true sisterhood. I’m deeply honored to serve in this manner, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to further a mission in which I believe wholeheartedly. With Kay’s support, and that of our very accomplished MIW Executive Committee, I’m also excited to engage the entire roster of MIWs so that we can collectively continue building upon the MIW Group’s significant progress.”
