Metallica will spend the next few days in New York, getting fans excited for their upcoming album Hardwired… To Self-Destruct. The rockers are on the bill for tomorrow’s Global Citizens Festival, then will spend much of Monday, September 24 recording at SiriusXM.
First off, Metallica will play live in-studio on The Howard Stern Show. The performance can be heard on Stern’s Howard 100 channel and will preview songs from the new record. The band will also record a special edition of SirusXM’s Town Hall series, sitting down with David Fricke and a handful of fans. Their Town Hall will air on the satcaster on November 17 on Octane as well as the returning Mandatory Metallica station. The channel originally ran from 2009 to 2013 and will be back as a limited run station, starting November 16.
Metallica is also set to perform on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday as well.
Hardwired… To Self-Destruct will be released on November 18.
