Machine Gun Kelly lands the first #1 album of his career this week, as Tickets To My Downfall debuts atop this week’s Billboard 200 chart. Marking a move towards rock for the rapper, the new album earned 126,000 equivalent album units and is his fifth overall top 10 release. Tickets To My Downfall was primarily produced and written with Blink-182‘s Travis Barker.
Six of the top 10 albums this week on the Billboard 200 are actually chart debuts. At #2 is a debut from K-Pop group SuperM with their first full-length release, naturally titled Super One: The 1st Album. The album was bolstered by a variety of merchandise bundles, even including items co-branded with Marvel.
Debuting at #3 is Japanese musician Joji with Nectar, earning 92,000 equivalent album units. The next highest debut is veteran Rock band Deftones, with Ohms at #5. Country singer Carrie Underwood kicks off the holiday season with her first Christmas record, My Gift, which debuts at #8. The sixth debut in the top 10 this week comes from rapper Tory Lanez, with Daystar arriving at #10.
At #4 is Pop Smoke‘s Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon. Legends Never Die from Juice WRLD is at #6 with Taylor Swift‘s Folklore dropping from #1 to #7. YoungBoy Never Broke Again is at #9 with Top.
