MUSEXPO has announced that its Creative Summit will return to Burbank, CA for 2020. The MUSEXPO Creative Summit again joins a week-long series of events that includes the Global Synch Summit, International Songwriting Summit, as well as the Worldwide Radio Summit, coinciding as part of California Entertainment Week, and taking place March 22-27, 2020.
As part of California Entertainment Week, MUSEXPO will present its “MUSEXPO International Music Person of the Year” award to Lisa Worden, Alternative Rock Brand Manager for iHeartMedia and PD of KYSR (ALT 98.7)/Los Angeles, as she celebrates her 25 years in radio. The event will bring together MUSEXPO executives and attendees from around the world, as well as Lisa’s colleagues and friends from across the industry, to recognize her significant achievements during a special VIP Awards Gala Luncheon on Tuesday, March 24, whereas Lisa will also receive proclamations and recognition from the local Mayor, city officials and representatives for the State of California.
In her current role, Worden leads iHeartMedia’s Alternative Rock Brand Management Team, which connects key advertisers with the company’s Alternative Rock music audience and provides strategic guidance to over 25 Alternative Rock music station brands. Prior to joining iHeart, Worden had spent over 12 years as APD and MD for the “World Famous KROQ” in Los Angeles. Having initially joined KROQ in 1995 as MD, where she served until 2003, she made her way for a short tenure with another iconic rock station at WHFS/Washington, D.C., before rejoining KROQ in August of 2005.
Her early career began in the record label at SBK Records in 1990, joining the Radio Promotions department as an assistant before transitioning to the college and specialty promotion team. In 1993 she joined RCA Records as the West Coast Director for their Alternative Rock Promotion team.
