Entercom Modern Rock KNDD/Seattle PD Leslie Scott has been selected as the inaugural mentee for the Mentoring & Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW)-Nielsen Music Mentoring Program. This new collaborative initiative is aimed at increasing the number of women in programming positions in the radio industry. The mentorship runs for one year and matches her with key mentors from the MIW Radio Group and Nielsen Music. Scott was selected from a field of 40 candidates. She also serves as Digital Program Director for Entercom-Seattle.
“We are delighted to announce Leslie Scott as the inaugural mentee for the MIW-Nielsen Music Mentoring Program,” said Stephanie Friedman, VP of Radio at Nielsen Music. “Leslie is an incredibly driven and innovative Program Director, and we’re excited to work with her and help accelerate her career trajectory through this mentorship program.”

As the inaugural MIW-Nielsen Music mentee, Scott also receives a scholarship to attend the 2017 Radio Show, where she will be officially introduced at the MIW Group’s traditional Radio Show dinner.
