Kendrick Lamar‘s anticipated new album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers debuts atop the Billboard 200 chart, giving the rapper the biggest overall chart week of 2022. Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is Lamar’s first new record in over five years, since 2017’s award-winning DAMN. In total, Mr. Morale… earned 295,500 equivalent album units, topping this year’s previous leader, Bad Bunny, who had the largest overall week on the Billboard 200 just a week prior, when Un Verano Sin Ti earned 274,000 equivalent album units.
The aforementioned Bad Bunny is at #2 with Future‘s I Never Liked You at #3. The second-highest chart debut of the week comes from K-Pop act TOMORROW X TOGETHER, as Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child comes in at #4. Morgan Wallen‘s chart mainstay Dangerous: The Double Album is at #5, with Come Home the Kids Miss You from Jack Harlow at #6.
Florence + The Machine earn their fourth Top 10 release as Dance Fever debuts at #7, followed by veteran Rock duo The Black Keys at #8 with their latest, Dropout Boogie.
The Top 10 is wrapped up with Olivia Rodrigo at #9 and Lil Durk at #10.
