Jesus Is King earned 264,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music, 109,000 were in album sales. West ties Eminem with his streak of #1 albums. Every single LP from the rapper has debuted at #1, save his very first album The College Dropout, which arrived at #2. This parallels Eminem’s streak, who also has seen all his records debut at #1 save his breakthrough release, The Slim Shady LP, which debuted at #2 back in 1999. Jesus is King also had the fifth-biggest streaming week of 2019, according to Nielsen Music’s data, as well as West’s biggest streaming week ever.
Landing at #2 on the Billboard 200 is Post Malone with Hollywood’s Bleeding. English singer Rex Orange County arrives on the chart at #3 with his major label debut Pony. YoungBoy Never Broke Again is at #4 with AI YoungBoy, followed by Over It from Summer Walker at #5.
DaBaby is at #6, followed by Taylor Swift at #7 and Billie Eilish at #8. Country band Old Dominion is the third top 10 debut this week, with their new self-titled record at #9. Rounding the top 10 out is Young Thug with So Much Fun.
