Veteran label executive Joel Klaiman will be exiting Columbia Records at the end of the week. Klaiman has been the label’s EVP/GM since his arrival in 2012. Klaiman commented,” I am leaving my role after an incredible six year run at Columbia Records. I want to thank Rob Stringer for the opportunity and the support. Thank you to (Chairman/CEO) Ron Perry. I wish continued success to him and the Columbia team. I am excited for my next chapter.”
Stringer remarked, “Joel has been an integral and key part of the success of Columbia over the past six years. He is a great executive and I know he will succeed in his next endeavor. I would like to thank Joel for his contributions to the Columbia team. I wish him continued success in his next phase.”
Prior to his arrival at Columbia, Klaiman held various executive positions at Epic Records, 550 Music and Republic Records where he exited his EVP of Promotion post to assume the Columbia role.
