Creative music industry executive Jeremy Vuernick has been promoted to Executive Vice President of A&R for Capitol Music Group (CMG), it was announced today by CMG Chief Operating Officer Michelle Jubelirer and CMG President Ashley Newton, to whom Vuernick reports. In his elevated position, Vuernick will draw upon his broad experience as an A&R executive to sign and develop artists for the company, as well as oversee recording projects for new and established CMG artists. He will also continue in his current position as Head of A&R for the company’s groundbreaking Astralwerks label, where he has signed and developed a host of noteworthy artists and projects, including global superstar Halsey. Vuernick is based in Hollywood, California in the company’s iconic Capitol Records Tower.
According to Jubelirer and Newton, “Jeremy brings ambitious vision, enormous energy and a healthy competitiveness to his important position in the company. He possesses an innate ability to help guide artists towards success while enabling them to stay true to their own creative goals. Jeremy has played a crucial role in CMG’s resurgence, and everyone in the Tower joins us in congratulating him on his well-deserved promotion to Executive Vice President.”

Prior to joining Astralwerks in 2013, Vuernick was a senior executive at the New York based independent label Ultra Music, where he served in A&R, marketing and sales capacities. He joined that label in 2011, after holding various marketing and music positions.
