JAY-Z‘s new album 4:44 has already been officially certified as platinum by the RIAA, just days after its release. The record is an exclusive release for now to Tidal subscribers and Sprint customers. Originally, only Sprint customers who also were Tidal subscribers could hear 4:44, but as of Monday it was opened up to all Tidal users. 4:44 will roll out to Apple Music and iTunes this week. 4:44 could also be downloaded as part of the Tidal-Sprint deal, which according to Variety, added to the total number that fast-tracked the record to platinum status.

In a statement, RIAA Chairman/CEO Cary Sherman said, “Props to JAY, he’s done it again! Another Platinum album adds to an already iconic career.”

In total, JAY-Z now has 13 platinum or higher solo albums, more than any other Hip-Hop artist. He also has four additional platinum plaques for his collaborative records.
