A new double-disc set of rare and unreleased tracks from throughout Jack White‘s career and his bands will be released via Columbia on September 9. Titled Jack White Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016, it compiles B-sides, alternate versions and previously unreleased recordings from The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and solo material – all completely remastered.
The collection also includes a previously-unheard White Stripes song, “City Lights,” which was recorded for their 2005 album Get Behind Me Satan. White revisited the 2005 album for Third Man‘s Record Store Day 2015 vinyl reissue and finished the recording in 2016.
Jack White Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016 runs in chronological order, starting with one of the Stripes’ earliest tunes and ending with tracks from his last solo record, 2014’s Lazaretto. The collection will be released on 2-LP vinyl as well as a 2-CD set.
