Veteran radio promotion executive John Boulos has announced a new consulting firm, JBoulos Music LLC. The new venture will tap into Boulos’s 40+ years of experience in the music industry with the aim to develop and break new artists, as well as mentor young executives in the business. JBoulos Music will encompass three different verticals inclusive of Mentorship, Artist Development, and Strategic Promotion Campaigns.
Most recently, Boulos was the Executive Vice President of Promotion at Arista Records under Sony Music Entertainment, where he led campaigns for JP Saxe, and his GRAMMY-nominated duet, “If The World Was Ending” featuring Julia Michaels, UPSAHL, Kennyhoopla and more. He oversaw all aspects of radio promotion for the relaunched label and built and led a multi-format national promotion team. Prior to Arista Records, Boulos spent 11 years at Roadrunner and Atlantic Records. Over the course of his career, Boulos has worked with artists such as Twenty One Pilots, Charli XCX, Panic! At The Disco, Paramore, Jason Mraz, U2, Wiz Khalifa, The Rolling Stones, Bonjovi, Lenny Kravitz and Madonna. He began his career working in the mailroom at London Records by day, and at night, promoted club DJ’s during the explosive dance era in the late 1970s. He has held promotional and executive roles at Capitol, Warner Bros., Epic, Virgin, Mercury, Island, RCA, Inner City and Vanguard.
He is currently working with BlackBox Media Agency, In2une Music, Aware Records MGMT as well as major labels.
