FMQB is sad to report that industry veteran Art Phillips passed away on Sunday, June 19 after a year-long fight with cancer of the appendix. Phillips, a passionate music lover, began his career in radio and then spent decades expanding that career through a stint at the trade Album Network and then various labels as one of the most respected promotion people in the business. FMQB sends its condolences to Phillips’ wife, Jill Quinn, as well his extended family and many, many friends inside and outside of the industry.

107.5 The River in Nashville has announced its second River on the Rooftop live concert occurring on Tuesday, June 28 and featuring Troye Sivan and gnash. It’s one of the coolest live promotion series of the summer and the pride and joy of The River’s PD Jonathan Shuford. The four part series will run across the summer and bring in some of the industry’s most exciting new recording artists. Concerts are performed on the second story patio of the Hard Rock Café in Nashville.
