Evan Lamberg, President of Universal Music Publishing Group, names Alissa Pollack, EVP/Global Music Marketing for iHeartMedia, as his successor in leadership of City of Hope’s Music, Film and Entertainment Industry (MFEI) fundraising group. Lamberg will transition to board chair in MFEI’s 51st year.
“It’s been an honor for the last five years to serve as president of City of Hope’s MFEI,” Lamberg said. “In giving some deep thought into who should succeed me and step into this role, and after speaking with numerous MFEI board members, it was unanimous that we could not think of a better person than longtime MFEI board member, Alissa Pollack. Her passion and love for City of Hope over the years has been second to none. From her work on the very successful annual Taste of Hope event to her overall fundraising, I know Alissa will lead the MFEI Board to greater heights. I will continue my work for City of Hope, which I love dearly, and will continue to work hand in hand with Alissa. But make no mistake about it, this will be Alissa’s board to run. We all congratulate her on this well-deserved honor.”
Pollack herself has supported City of Hope with more than a decade of leadership of Taste of Hope, an annual wine tasting held in New York City that has raised more than $5 million for City of Hope to improve health outcomes for people with cancer and diabetes.
“I’m deeply honored to step into this expanded role at MFEI, building upon the remarkable foundation laid by Evan.,” Pollack says. “His visionary leadership as president has propelled City of Hope’s mission forward, harnessing the power of music and entertainment to drive groundbreaking cancer research. Evan’s legacy is one of compassion, innovation, and relentless dedication to our shared goal: a world without cancer. I am inspired by his incredible work and committed to carrying forward his legacy as we strive toward a future where cancer is eradicated for all.”
At iHeartMedia, Pollack works closely with brands and artists to provide custom data insights to inform their events, social media programs and advertising.
In its 50-year history, the MFEI group has raised more than $150 million for City of Hope, one of the largest cancer research and treatment organizations in the United States and a leading research center for diabetes and other life-threatening illnesses. MFEI also has honored some of the most important figures in the music and entertainment industry.”
