iHeartMedia announced today that Danny Bortnick has been named Senior Vice President of Sales for Washington, DC, effective immediately. Bortnick will be responsible for managing the sales efforts in Washington DC. He will report to Aaron Hyland, Region Senior Vice President of Sales for iHeartMedia Washington DC and Market President for Baltimore.

Danny Bortnick joins the DC Market from Entercom. Danny Bortnick has been in the radio industry since he graduated college. 13 years ago he started as an AE at Katz Radio in both NYC and Atlanta. After a year at Katz he then transitioned to the local side of the business. He started on the local side as an AE at 1010 WINS in NYC- then moving into their digital sales manager position. After WINS Danny was the Director of Sales for Salem Media NYC where he ran two of their spoken word stations; one of which he launched from a sales perspective. After being away from CBS Radio for 2 years he pivoted back and served in various sales management roles from Retail Sales Manager, Local Sales Manager, General Sales Manager, and most recently the VP of Sales for the past almost 6 years for CBS/Entercom Washington DC. He spent almost 10 years of his career at CBS/Entercom.
