iHeartMedia announced today that Fernando A. Pérez has been named Program Director for Rumba 106.1, # 1 Para Reggaetón Y Variedad En Philadelphia, effective immediately. As Program Director, Pérez will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the station’s music, programming, imaging, and branding. He will report to Derrick Corbett, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Philadelphia.

Fernando Arath Pérez is a veteran radio executive with over 20 years of experience programming multiple Spanish-language formats for US Hispanic audiences. Pérez believes that success comes from unleashing the power of teamwork in the service of our community.
Before joining iHeartMedia, Pérez helped top audio brands and personalities with transformative content strategies as a consultant. Clients included Univision’s Uforia podcasts, the nationally-syndicated El Show de Piolín, and El Show de Omar & Argelia. As a former vice president of content at Univision, Pérez led programming operations for 20 stations across America In addition, he’s held various roles for companies such as Spanish Broadcasting System and CBS Radio. Pérez is an alum of Harvard Business School through their executive education program.
