iHeartMedia-Detroit has flipped Classic Rock WDTW to Modern Rock as ALT 106.7, Detroit’s New Alternative Station.
ALT 106.7 launched today with 10,000 songs commercial-free and promises tunes from artists such as Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Linkin Park, twenty one pilots, Blink-182, The Killers and more. The station will also feature local on-air personalities and promises its full programming lineup will be announced soon.

Last Friday, Entercom launched new Modern Rock stations in New York and Dallas, following the closing of their merger deal with CBS Radio.
