iHeartMedia has announced that A.J. has been named Program Director for Top 40 WHQC (Channel 96.1) and Classic Hits WKLO (102.9 The Lake) effective February 12. A.J. will work with on-air personalities and sales teams to oversee the stations’ day-to-day programming, promotions and digital operations.
“Bringing A.J. to Charlotte is a game changer for the market,” said Meg Stevens, EVP/Programming for iHeartMedia. “He is passionate and creative as well as analytical and strategic. He’s the perfect addition to team Charlotte.”
A 20-plus year radio veteran, A.J. most recently served as the Regional SVP/Programming for iHeartMedia’s St. Louis Region and day-to-day Program Director for KSLZ (Z107.7) & Hallelujah 1600/St. Louis. He has also held various programming roles in Richmond, VA; Norfolk, VA; Syracuse, NY; Rochester, NY; Albany, NY; Roanoke, VA; and Wilkes-Barre, PA. A.J. attended King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
