iHeartMedia-Albany announced today the retirement of media veteran Kristen Delaney, Area President for the cluster and surrounding region. As Area President for over a decade, Delaney overseen the Albany, Poughkeepsie and Sussex, NJ markets. Her last day will be December 31, 2021.
Delaney began her broadcasting career in 1989 as an Account Executive in Utica, NY and worked in radio sales until 1996 when she was promoted to Local Sales Manager. In 1999, she moved to Albany to join Clear Channel Radio (now iHeartMedia) as General Sales Manager and was elevated to Director of Sales in 2000 and Market Manager in 2006. Since 2011, Delaney has served as President for iHeartMedia in Albany and Poughkeepsie, as well as Sussex, NJ. In addition, Delaney serves on the board of the New York State Broadcasters Association and the Capital District Radio Association. Throughout her time at iHeartMedia, Delaney, along with her teams, helped raise millions of dollars for the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center and WGY’s Christmas Wish.
