iHeartMedia Hartford, CT’s The River 105-9 announced today the retirement of Renee DiNino from the station and as the host of Community Access. Renee’s last day on-air will be June 30, 2024.
Renee is a Connecticut native who grew up listening to The River and has most recently served as Midday Host, Community Access Director and host of Acoustic Sunday Mornings. Throughout her career, Renee received many accolades for her community service and was awarded numerous Humanitarian Awards. She serves on multiple boards and committees including Kenway’s Cause, Inc, Connecticut FoodShare, Operation Fuel, Special Olympics Connecticut and Autism Speaks, amongst others. Her most recent passion projects have included working with Connecticut Legislatures on the passing of an animal advocacy bill and working with Campaign for Bully Free Communities as an Ambassador and is a champion of children’s causes and literacy and military/veteran centered nonprofits. She’s also passionate about working with CT Animal Control Officers to educate the public on the over-population of animals and the proper surrender of them.
