Four new releases take the top four spots on this week’s Billboard 200 chart, with seven debuts overall in the top ten. Rapper Lil Uzi Vert debuts at #1 with Luv Is Rage 2, earning 135,000 equivalent album units. Luv Is Rage 2 was a huge streaming hit, as 100,000 of its units came from on-demand streams. It is the largest SEA total for a release since Kendrick Lamar‘s DAMN. topped that figure in May.
Rapper XXXTentacion debuts at #2 with his first full-length record, 17. It earned 87,000 units. Rockers Queens of the Stone Age land at #3 with Villains, which was also the best-selling release of the week. Pop group Fifth Harmony earned the fourth top ten debut of the week with their new eponymous release at #4. It is their first record since splitting with member Camila Cabello.
The aforementioned Kendrick Lamar album DAMN. is at #5. Rap collective A$AP Mob‘s Cozy Tapes, Vol. 2: Too Cozy bows at #6, giving them the third hip-hop release to debut in the top ten of the Billboard 200 this week.
At #7 is yet another new release, with Country group Old Dominion‘s sophomore album Happy Endings. Khalid is at #8 with Kodak Black at #9. The seventh and final top ten chart debut this week comes from Rock group The War on Drugs with their new album A Deeper Understanding at #10.
According to Billboard, it is the first time seven new releases debuted in the top ten since last November.
