Nicholaus “Niko” Petrou
Entercom has announced that Nicholaus “Niko” Petrou is the new morning co-host for KMLE (Country @ 107.9)/Phoenix. The station also announced that the morning show was renamed as “The Breakfast Buzz.” Niko joins Nina D. on the morning show which airs weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. MT.
“Niko brings incredible talent and passion for the industry to KMLE, along with his love for country music,” said Dave Pugh, SVP/Market Manager, Entercom Phoenix. “We are looking forward to seeing him and Nina D. elevate mornings in Phoenix with their combined energy and drive.”
“After almost 20 years in the radio industry, I’m looking forward to taking on the challenge of mornings,” said Niko. “Given the opportunity to work with such a legendary team and station, I’m excited to bring what I have to offer to Phoenix. Prior to KMLE, Niko held a variety of roles at sister station WBMP-FM, including APD/MD and midday on-air personality. Previously, he was the evening on-air host for WHTZ-FM in New York.
