Entercom has announced the appointment of Chris Roth as Program Director for classic hits station Classic Hits WIAD (94.7 The Drive) in Washington D.C., effective immediately.
“One year into the format, we are satisfied with the station’s position but we are constantly seeking new ways to innovate and improve,” said Phil Zachary, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom Washington D.C. “Chris Roth brings the vernacular and market knowledge to fine tune 94.7 The Drive to D.C.’s particular tastes. He’s uniquely suited for this role and I am excited to see him help our station excel.”

In this role, Roth will work closely with Entercom classic hits Format Captain and sister station KRTH (K-EARTH 101) Program Director Chris Ebbott to accelerate 94.7 The Drive’s ratings growth.
Roth is a radio veteran who has spent the majority of his 20-year career in the D.C. metro area. Prior to joining Entercom, Roth held multiple programming and on-air roles for iHeartMedia, Hubbard Broadcasting, Salem Media and Red Zebra Broadcasting in Washington D.C., Curtis Media Group in Raleigh, NC and Centennial Broadcasting in Winchester, VA.
