Demi Lovato will release a new album, titled Dancing With the Devil… The Art of Starting Over, timed to come out with her upcoming documentary. Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil will be out as a four-part series on YouTube, starting March 23.
Lovato announced the album as part of an event on the Clubhouse app Monday night. According to Entertainment Weekly, the pop singer said, “It really does follow the course of my life and the path it’s taken over the past few years.”
The album will have 19 songs and three bonus tracks and she considers it the soundtrack to the documentary. The series chronicles Lovato’s history with addiction, including her 2018 overdose that resulted in her suffering three strokes and a heart attack.
She said, “The documentary is something that I poured my heart and soul into. I wanted my fans to get the first-hand accounts from not just me but the people who were there. I’ve had so much to say over the past two years wanting to set the record straight about what it was that happened.”
Lovato also teased collaborations on the album with “three different, incredible women.”
Dancing With the Devil…The Art of Starting Over arrives April 2.
