Rap trio Migos debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 with Culture II, the sequel to last year’s hit release Culture, which also debuted at #1 almost exactly a year ago. Culture II earned 199,000 equivalent album units in its first week, the majority of which were via streaming. According to Nielsen Music‘s data, Culture II had the largest streaming week for an album since Kendrick Lamar‘s DAMN. last spring. Migos will also play Saturday Night Live on March 3.
The soundtrack to The Greatest Showman remains at #2 for the third week in a row. British dance act Above & Beyond debut at #3 with Common Ground, their fourth album but their first to break the top ten. Sales were boosted by a bundle with concert tickets.
Thanks to his Grammy success, Bruno Mars climbs to #4 with 24K Magic, which was named Album of the Year. Ed Sheeran is at #5, with Kendrick Lamar at #6 and Camila Cabello at #7. The top ten is rounded out by Post Malone (#8), Khalid (#9) and Imagine Dragons (#10).
