Columbia Records has promoted Brady Bedard to Senior Vice President of Pop Promotion, it was announced today by Lee Leipsner, Executive Vice President of Promotion for Columbia, to whom Brady will report. Previously, Brady was Vice President of Rock and Alternative Promotion.
“Brady has proven to be indispensable to our entire department through the years with his wide range of promotion experience at the label,” stated Leipsner. “His passion for our diverse roster, his great rapport with his radio peers and the Columbia staff and his keen understanding of the always-changing promotion dynamics make him the ideal executive to lead our Pop team. All of Columbia joins me in congratulating him on this well-deserved promotion.”

A Minneapolis native, Bedard has worked at Sony/Columbia for nearly two decades, joining Sony Music as a college rep in 1998 before becoming a field marketing rep, transitioning to radio promotion for Columbia Records in 2001. Appointed Director of Pop Promotion in 2005, he held the title of Senior Director of Promotion in the intervening years before being appointed Vice President of Rock and Alternative Promotion in 2015. Throughout his tenure Brady has worked on successful promotion campaigns for artists including Adele, Beyonce, Calvin Harris, Foster The People, Arcade Fire, LCD Soundsystem, Hozier, One Direction, Daft Punk, Pharrell, John Mayer, John Legend, Jack White, and others.
