Live audio streaming service TuneIn Inc has announced that veteran radio programmer Chris Patyk has joined the company to lead curation for its alternative and rock stations.
Chris spent the last six years as the program director of CHR KEGY/San Diego. Previously, he was the PD at Modern Rock KBZT/San Diego. AC KYXY/San Diego and Rock KUFO/Portland.
Patyk says, “The excitement of what’s happening at streaming right now is incredible, so working at TuneIn was the logical next step. At TuneIn, we’re passionate about celebrating new artists and the music they make. This makes for a great working environment as I grew up looking for music that was always outside of what was established; so finding new music has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. I’m excited to share this with the 75 million TuneIn listeners worldwide.”
TuneIn Director of Music Programming and Operations Quay Bangs said, “Chris is a radio renaissance man. He’s a prominent figure in the industry — anything he touches he improves immensely. His experience and wide range of talents are just a few of the reasons we are so lucky to have him as apart of the TuneIn Family.”
