Considering the ubiquity of Chance the Rapper in recent years, it’s incredible that he hasn’t released an official studio album yet. That changes next week with the arrival of The Big Day, landing on July 26. The Chicago rapper made the announcement on Tuesday’s edition of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Chance unveiled the album title, artwork and release date, only on the condition that Fallon pre-order the album online during the show via ChanceRaps.com. He also discussed having a small vocal part in the new remake of The Lion King.
Chance’s breakthrough mixtape Coloring Book was released in May of 2016 and his earlier mixtapes were just given official wide releases earlier this year.
