I went out to Las Vegas to check out the premiere of 50 Cent's movie "Get Rich Or Die Tryin'." I'm sitting there about to start the interview and Olivia walks in and hands him his phone. 50 Cent is talking for a few minutes, and hangs up and says, "Sorry...that was Em." Very cool moment!
I was working on the promotions street team in Jacksonville and the Promotions Director invited me back to meet the band. The Scorpions were my very first meet and greet in radio.

It was no secret on the air that I'm a bit of a germaphobe. A listener showed up to our WABB Red, White, and Boom Show with this poster out front. The whole staff laughed so hard! I ended up bringing it back to my office.

Chris Michaels: Garth was my first concert as a kid, so this was one of my coolest moments in radio.
My mom took me to my first concert to see Garth Brooks in the early 90's. It was so cool to repay her the favor by taking her to see Garth Brooks, and Trisha Yearwood, and taking her backstage to meet him to tell him that story.
We collected Thousands of Cards For Kids for Valentines Day for St. Jude Children's Hospital.
These two guys are responsible for who I am today. David Moore gave me my first board op job working with Lex and Terry at their home base Rock 105 in Jacksonville, FL. Cat Thomas gave me my dream job of being on the air at WAPE. The station I grew up listening to my whole childhood. Cat is also the reason I was hired at WMC-FM in Memphis.
This was a fun memorable night! Before we could hear Katy Perry's new album, they took all of our phones away. A room full of programmers with no phone for an hour...it made for some good laughs.
When Covid shut everything down, country radio tours stopped for new country artists. Warner Nashville got creative, and sent their new artist Shy Carter out on a Tour Bus to tour the country playing outside for programmers.
This was the hottest show I've ever been to, but an amazing show. Kenny's words were "How ya doing? It's hot as hell out there aint it?"
