The Kentucky rockers Cage The Elephant are back at it again with a NEW video for third single “Aberdeen” off their sophomore album Thank You, Happy Birthday. The video, directed by Isaac Rentz, will premiere TODAY Wednesday, October 12 on MTV.com and will then air hourly on MTV, MTV2, MTV Hits and MTVU, starting at 6:00 AM EST.

The video for “Aberdeen” is a heartbreaking claymation tale of a lonely Dragon’s futile quest to befriend the human race; a story created by Matt Shultz.  You can also check out the boys performing “Aberdeen” live on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno HERE

Amidst their brilliantly reviewed spring tour Cage The Elephant had a two-night sold out run at The Vic Theatre in Chicago. The band is now excited to announce their first live DVD, Live From The Vic in Chicago, available December 13 on DVD/CD, BluRay disc, iTunes DVD download and digital audio download just in time for the holidays! Look out for an edited 30-minute version of Live From The Vic In Chicago to premiere on MTV, MTV2, MTVU, MTV Hits and MTV.com the week of October 24th.

Cage The Elephant kicked off their support dates with the Foo Fighters on Sunday night at the Pepsi Center in Denver, CO. Soon after the show drummer Jared Champion’s appendix burst, leaving the band no choice but to cancel last night’s show. However, hours before show time, Dave Grohl came to the rescue and played drums during the bands set at the Maverick Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Read about it HERE!

Released on January 11th, Thank You Happy Birthday (RCA Records) has garnered the band rave reviews from the likes of Rolling Stone, New York Times, LA Times, USA Today, Entertainment Weekly, People and Alternative Press who heralded it “one of the best rock albums of the year.” “Shake Me Down” was at #1 at Alternative Rock for five weeks and has been on the chart for a total of 30 weeks thus far. With their performances on The Late Show with David Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, it’s easy to see why Rolling Stone named Cage The Elephant “one of rock’s best young bands.”
