Rockers Cage the Elephant have announced that their fifth studio album, Social Cues, will be out April 19 via RCA Records. Lead single “Ready to Let Go” arrived at radio today, along with a video directed by lead singer Matt Schultz. It is the follow-up to 2015’s Grammy-winning Tell Me I’m Pretty.
Schultz says writing the new songs was “a vehicle to act out things that are hard to confront, adding that “when I’m creating, I try to put myself in a reactive state of improvisational thought. I let images just arise in my mind and wait for it to evoke an emotional response and then when it does, I know I’m on to something.”
Social Cues features 13 new songs and Beck is credited on the track “Night Running.”
Cage The Elephant will headline Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta on May 4 and more 2019 dates will be announced soon.
