K-Pop superstars BTS have earned their fourth #1 album on the Billboard 200 with Map of the Soul: 7, giving them the biggest opening week of any 2020 release. Map of the Soul: 7 tallied 422,000 equivalent album units in its first week of availability. Billboard notes that BTS achieved this figure without the benefit of any ticketing bundle, as has been the case with many #1 albums recently. BTS have now earned four #1 albums in under two years.
Two very different acts debuted at #2 and #3 this week, with rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again coming in at #2 with Still Flexin, Still Steppin and Rock icon Ozzy Osbourne arriving at #3 with Ordinary Man. YoungBoy Never Broke Again earned 91,000 equivalent album units and Ozzy earned a total of 77,000 equivalent album units.
Justin Bieber‘s Changes slips to #4, with Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial by Roddy Ricch at #5. The Top 10 is rounded out by A Boogie Wit da Hoodie at #6, Post Malone at #7, the late Pop Smoke at #8, Trippie Redd at #9 (moving way up from #36 after a reissue with extra tracks) and Billie Eilish at #10.
