The Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival is the first major North American music festival to announce a return in 2021 after taking the past year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Bonnaroo announced a full four-night lineup for the 20th anniversary of the event, set for September 2-5 in Manchester, TN, topped by Foo Fighters, Lizzo and Megan Thee Stallion.
Additionally, Delaware’s Firefly Festival also announced it will happen again in 2021, running from September 23-26. No artists have been announced yet. Coachella has already announced it will skip 2021 thanks to the coronavirus. In its announcement, Bonnaroo named a number of new improvements to its stages, transportation and plazas, but gave no information about any COVID-related precautions or changes.
Night 1 of Bonnaroo is led by the Grand Ole Opry featuring Special Guests, while Night 2 (Friday) is headlined by Foo Fighters, Megan Thee Stallion, Run the Jewels, Janelle Monáe, Jack Harlow and Glass Animals. Saturday’s Night 3 lineup is topped by Lizzo, Tame Impala, My Morning Jacket, Phoebe Bridgers and Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit. Sunday’s Night 4 lineup features Tyler, The Creator, Lana Del Rey, Lil Baby, Brittany Howard and Deadmau5. The full lineup is available at bonnaroo.com.
