Billie Eilish will headline the 2022 edition of the legendary Glastonbury Music Festival in the UK. Eilish will close out the Pyramid Stage on Friday, June 24.

Glastonbury organizer Emily Eavis said in a statement, “We couldn’t be happier to announce that the wondrous Billie Eilish is headlining the Pyramid on the Friday at next year’s Glastonbury Festival, becoming the youngest solo headliner in our history. This feels like the perfect way for us to return and I cannot wait!”

She performed at the festival in 2019 on The Other Stage. Glastonbury will run from June 22-26, 2022. Eilish is the first headliner to be confirmed for the festival.

Eilish was one of the headliners over the weekend at the Austin City Limits festival as well in Texas and spoke out from the stage against the state’s new anti-abortion laws. With the words “Bans Off Our Bodies” on the screen behind her, Eilish told the crowd, “When they made that s*** a law, I almost didn’t want to do the show, because I wanted to punish this f***ing place for allowing that to happen here. But then, I remembered that it’s you guys that are the f***ing victims, and you deserve everything in the world.”

Additionally, it was announced last week that Eilish has joined the cast of the live-to-film performance of The Nightmare Before Christmas, set for October 29 and October 31 in Los Angeles. Eilish will play Sally and sing her theme, “Sally’s Song.” Also on board are Danny Elfman, reprising his role as Jack Skellington, “Weird Al” Yankovic as Lock and Ken Page reprising his performance as Oogie Boogie from the original 1993 film.
