Governors Ball is the latest music festival to announce its return in 2021, with Billie Eilish, Post Malone, A$AP Rocky and Megan Thee Stallion among the headliners for the event. The 10th anniversary edition of Governors Ball is set for September 24-26 at Citi Field, the home of the New York Mets.
Eilish headlines Night 1 of the festival (Friday, September 24), with DaBaby, Portugal the Man and more onboard. On Night 2 (Saturday, September 25), A$AP Rocky tops the bill, with Megan Thee Stallion and Phoebe Bridgers among the acts scheduled to play. Post Malone headlines Night 3 (Sunday, September 26), with 21 Savage, Ellie Goulding, Carly Rae Jepsen and many more slated for the final day of the festival. “Building a recovery for all of us means reconnecting with the iconic events that make New York City the greatest travel destination in the world,” said New York Mayor Bill de Blasio in a statement. “As more New Yorkers become vaccinated by the day, we’re proud to support arts and culture and welcome back Governors Ball and their fantastic lineup, including New York City’s own Princess Nokia, A$AP Rocky, and King Princess, among others.”
According to the Governors Ball website, the organizers are “working closely with all city and state authorities on everything.” Refunds will be available if the festival doesn’t take place and anyone with tickets from 2020’s canceled Governors Ball can transfer their tickets to this year’s event.
