Billie Eilish easily earns the second #1 album of her career on the Billboard 200 with Happier Than Ever. Eilish’s sophomore album earned 238,000 equivalent album units, giving her the fifth-largest chart week of 2021. Her first full-length album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, debuted at #1 in April 2019. Album sales made up 153,000 units, giving her the third-largest sales week of the year. Happier Than Ever was released in a wide variety of physical editions, with vinyl LPs in eight different colors, 10 different CD versions and even different cassette tape options.
Billboard notes that the top three albums on the albums chart this week are all by teenagers, as The Kid LAROI. is at #2 with F*ck Love and Olivia Rodrigo‘s Sour is at #3.
At #4 is a debut from the late Prince and his posthumous release Welcome 2 America. The album was recorded in 2010 but never heard and was part of his legendary archive of unreleased material.
Doja Cat is at #5 with Morgan Wallen at #6. The third top 10 debut of the week is from rapper Isiah Rashad and his album The House is Burning at #7. The rest of the top 10 is filled out by Lil Baby and Lil Durk (#8), Dua Lipa (#9) and Polo G (#10).
