Bill Evans has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Urban Promotion, for Capitol Music Group (CMG), it was announced today by the company’s President of Promotion & CMG Executive Vice President, Greg Marella. In his elevated role, Evans continues to lead the strategy and execution of the company’s Urban and R&B radio campaigns. Evans is based in Hollywood within the iconic Capitol Tower.
According to Marella, “Bill Evans is one of our industry’s most respected promotion executives, and he has consistently delivered winning results for CMG artists. Since Bill joined the company two years ago, he and I have formed an incredible partnership built on a collaborative approach and shared strategic vision for our artists’ releases. Bill Evans’s efforts and achievements have been integral to the breakthrough and ascent of some of the company’s most important new artists, and he plays a crucial role in CMG’s continuing resurgence in Urban Music. Prior to joining CMG, Evans was Senior Vice President of Urban Promotion for Def Jam Recordings.
