Audacy announces “On The Record,” a new album release initiative for the biggest stars in music.
The program begins Friday, May 17, to coincide with the release of singer and songwriter Billie Eilish’s third studio album, “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT.” Hosted by Audacy’s Bru, “Billie Eilish: On The Record” will feature exclusive content from Eilish talking through hand-picked tracks from the album, including her creative timeline, album inspiration and how she wants her fans to feel listening to her new music. The special will air at 9:00 p.m. local time across Audacy’s Top 40 stations, CHANNEL Q and on the Audacy app.
“At Audacy, we deepen the relationship between artists and their fans, and ‘On The Record’ will bring our listeners closer to their favorite artists than ever before,” Michael Martin, Senior Vice President of Programming and Head of Music Initiatives, Audacy. “We’re thrilled to introduce this series with the incredibly talented Billie Eilish and offer her fans an exclusive, in-depth look at her creative process and the stories behind her music.”
“On The Record” continues on May 24 with twenty one pilots and the debut of their new album “Clancy.” Heard across Audacy’s Alternative stations and on the Audacy app at 8:00 p.m. local time the night their album drops, “twenty one pilots: On The Record” will feature exclusive content with the band. They will share songs from the new album, give insight into their creative process and even share some of their all-time favorite tracks from other artists.
“On The Record” was created following similar efforts the Company has made to promote new albums from artists like Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa. The series will continue throughout the year and expand to other formats.
