Audacy has announced a new weekday programming lineup for Modern Rock WDZN (ALT 98.7)/Detroit. The station will air The Julia Show starring Detroit native Julia Lepidi from 6-10 am. The new lineup will also include Ian Camfield in middays and Brady in afternoons. Kevan Kenney hosts weeknights.
“I’m so excited to be writing the next chapter of ALT 98.7 in Detroit alongside Julia and all of our passionate air talent, and I’m grateful to Dave Richards, Debbie Kenyon and Tim Roberts for the leadership and support,” said Christine Malovetz, Audacy VP of Regional Programming.
“Hosting my own morning show in my hometown and on the frequency I got my start on in this industry is a surreal moment. I’m elated,” said Lepidi. “Thank you to Dave Richards, Christine Malovetz, Debbie Kenyon and Tim Roberts for the opportunity!”
Lepidi got her start on 98.7 in Detroit in 2012, working in promotions while it was known as AMP Radio. After a three-year run of hosting nights, she was promoted to mornings in 2018. When the station flipped formats, she went on to host nights on WBBM (B96)/Chicago, where she currently hosts afternoons. The Julia Show is heard in 15 markets including Phoenix, Miami, Philadelphia, Chicago, Las Vegas and more.
