MTV has announced the nominees for its 2019 VMAs, with Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift leading the pack. Both Pop stars earned 10 nods each, including for Video of the Year. Billie Eilish has nine nominations while Lil Nas X earned eight.
Grande is up for Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Video, Best Direction, Best Visual Effects, Best Editing, Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography. Swift was nominated for Video for the Year, Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Pop Video, Video for Good, Best Direction, Best Visual Effects, Best Editing, Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography.
