Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper‘s soundtrack to A Star Is Born spends a second week at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The record earned 143,000 equivalent album units during the week.
At #2 is rapper Quavo of Migos, whose debut solo record Quavo Huncho climbs from #66. The album was actually released on Thursday, October 11, giving it one day of charting data for the previous week. Quavo earned 99,000 equivalent album units.
Lil Wayne‘s Tha Carter V is at #3, followed by Lil Baby & Gunna’s Drip Harder at #5. The only brand new release in the top ten this week comes from R&B singer Ella Mai with her self-titled, first full-length record at #5.
Drake is at #6 with Scorpion, followed by twenty one pilots at #7, then Travis Scott at #8, Post Malone at #9 and Eminem at #10.
Also of note, eight of the top ten releases, as well as the entire top six, are Universal Music Group records. The only non-UMG releases in the top ten are from twenty one pilots and Travis Scott. In September, UMG held nine of the top ten spots on the Billboard 200. According to Billboard, UMG last had all top six release in November of 2015.
